2024 Campfire Ban Rescinded in the Coastal Fire Centre
Note that as of Wednesday, August 28 at 12 noon PDT, the Category 1 campfire prohibition will be lifted and campfires will be allowed across the Coastal Fire Centre. For detail, see our information bulletin.

The Coastal Fire Centre has removed the campfire ban. The Coastal Fire Centre covers ALL area of the Sunshine Coast including: public, private, park, beach, and shÃshálh Nation lands. Get up-to-date information and news on the Coastal Fire Centre website.
Campfires, binary exploding targets, burn barrels, and wood-fired appliances are: PERMITTED.
Fireworks are: NOT PERMITTED
Gas powered fire rings are PERMITTED with flame height less than 15cm.
Briquette barbecues are PERMITTED, dispose of ashes properly.
